1. Services

Clarity Focus Media ("the Studio") provides photography and video production services in the Seattle and Bellevue, WA area. All services are confirmed only upon receipt of a signed agreement and deposit.

2. Booking & Deposits

All sessions require a non-refundable retainer to hold your date. Retainer amounts are as follows:

Headshot & Portrait sessions — 50% of the total session fee due at booking
Team / Corporate sessions — 50% due at booking; remaining 50% due 48 hours before the session date
Event coverage — 50% due at booking; remaining 50% due on the day of the event before coverage begins
Video production projects — 50% due at booking; 25% due at the start of post-production; final 25% due upon delivery

Your date is not reserved until the retainer payment is received and confirmed in writing. Verbal agreements, email exchanges, or social media messages do not constitute a confirmed booking.

Full session balances must be settled before the delivery of any final images, gallery links, or video files. Accepted payment methods include Zelle, Venmo, PayPal, or bank transfer. Cash is accepted for sessions under $500. Credit card payments may incur a 3% processing fee.

Retainers are non-refundable under all circumstances. They represent the reservation of time, equipment preparation, and scheduling coordination that occurs before your session takes place.

3. Cancellations & Rescheduling

Rescheduling: One free reschedule is available if requested at least 72 hours before the session, subject to calendar availability. A second reschedule or a reschedule requested within 72 hours will incur a $75 rescheduling fee.

Cancellations by the client: The retainer is forfeited in full. If cancellation occurs within 48 hours of the session and the remaining balance has already been collected, a 50% refund of the remaining balance (not the retainer) will be issued. No-shows forfeit the total session fee with no refund of any amount.

Cancellations by the Studio: In the rare event that Clarity Focus Media must cancel due to emergency, illness, or equipment failure, clients will receive a full refund of all amounts paid including the retainer, or the option to reschedule at no charge. The Studio's liability is limited to the refund of paid fees and does not extend to consequential damages, travel costs, or lost business opportunities.

4. Copyright & Image Usage

All photographs and video content created by Clarity Focus Media remain the intellectual property of the Studio. Upon full payment, clients receive a non-exclusive personal or commercial use license as specified in their service agreement.

The Studio reserves the right to use final images for portfolio, website, and social media purposes unless a written opt-out is requested before the session.

5. Delivery & Turnaround

Edited images are typically delivered within 5–10 business days of the session via an online gallery. Rush delivery may be available at an additional fee. Video projects have delivery timelines specified per project.

6. Client Responsibilities

Arrive on time. Late arrivals reduce session time without adjustment to the fee.
Ensure all subjects in group sessions have consented to photography.
Obtain any necessary permits for requested locations.

7. Liability

The Studio's liability is limited to the total amount paid for the session. We are not responsible for lost or damaged files beyond a reasonable backup period of 30 days post-delivery. In the unlikely event of equipment failure or unforeseeable circumstances, the Studio's sole obligation is a refund or reschedule.

8. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington. Any disputes shall be resolved in King County, WA.
